The priestly manual — the how-to guide for the sacrificial system, the clean and unclean, and what holiness actually looks like in practice. It sounds like a legal code but it’s really a sustained argument about the character of God and how to live near him. Chapters 16 (the Day of Atonement, the scapegoat) and 19 (the holiness code, peaking at love your neighbour as yourself) are the high points. Chapter 26 is the blessings and curses: obedience or consequence, and the promise that even in exile God won’t forget the covenant.
