The most practical book in the New Testament, and the bluntest. James doesn't do theory — he wants to know what your faith actually does on a Tuesday. Watch your mouth, look after the widows, don't suck up to the rich blokes, and if you reckon you believe something, prove it. Reads like a straight-talking uncle who's run out of patience.
