Cleansing the one with the disease
The Lord spoke to Moses: This will be the teaching for the one with the disease on the day of his cleansing. He will be brought to the priest. The priest will go out of the camp. And the priest will look. And if the sore of the disease is healed in the one with the disease, Then the priest will command two live clean birds for the one to be cleansed, and cedar wood and scarlet and hyssop. The priest will command that one of the birds be killed in a clay pot over running water. As for the living bird, he will take it and the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird killed over the running water. He will sprinkle it seven times on the one to be cleansed from the disease, and say he's clean, and let the living bird go loose into the open field. The one to be cleansed will wash his clothes and shave off all his hair and wash himself in water, so he's clean. And after that he will come into the camp, and stay outside his tent seven days. But on the seventh day he will shave all the hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, all his hair he will shave off. And he will wash his clothes and wash his flesh in water, and he will be clean. And on the eighth day he will take two male lambs without defect, and one ewe lamb a year old without defect, and three tenths of fine flour for a grain offering mixed with oil, and a log of oil. The priest who makes him clean will set the man to be made clean and those things before the Lord, at the door of the tent of meeting. The priest will take one male lamb and offer it for a guilt offering, and the log of oil, and wave them as a wave offering before the Lord. He will kill the lamb in the place where he kills the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the sanctuary. Because like the sin offering, the guilt offering is the priest's. It is most holy. The priest will take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest will put it on the tip of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. The priest will take some of the log of oil and pour it into the palm of his own left hand. The priest will dip his right finger in the oil in his left hand and sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before the Lord. And of the rest of the oil in his hand the priest will put some on the tip of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering. And what's left of the oil in the priest's hand he will pour on the head of the one to be cleansed. And the priest will make atonement for him before the Lord. The priest will offer the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from his impurity. And after that he will kill the burnt offering. The priest will offer the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. And the priest will make atonement for him, and he will be clean. If he's poor and can't afford that much, then he will take one lamb for a guilt offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and a tenth of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and a log of oil, And two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whatever he can afford. And one will be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering. He will bring them on the eighth day for his cleansing to the priest, to the door of the tent of meeting, before the Lord. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest: And the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper; Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop: And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water: As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water: And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field. And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days. But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean. And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil. And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: And he shall slay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the holy place: for as the sin offering is the priest’s, so is the trespass offering: it is most holy: And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot: And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand: And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD: And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering: And the remnant of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD. And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil; And two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering. And he shall bring them on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the LORD. And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot: And the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm of his own left hand: And the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the LORD: And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering: And the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the LORD. And he shall offer the one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he can get; Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed before the LORD. Disease in a house
The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron: When you come into the land of Canaan that I give you to own, and I put the sore of a disease in a house in the land you own, Then the one whose house it is will come and tell the priest: It looks to me like there's some kind of sore in the house. Then the priest will command them to empty the house before the priest goes in to look at the sore, so everything in the house isn't made unclean. And after that the priest will go in to look at the house. He will look at the sore. And if the sore is in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, that look lower than the wall, Then the priest will go out of the house to the door of the house and shut up the house seven days. The priest will come again on the seventh day and look. And if the sore has spread in the walls of the house, Then the priest will command them to take out the stones the sore is in and throw them into an unclean place outside the town. He will have the house scraped inside all round, and they will pour out the dust they scrape off outside the town, in an unclean place. They will take other stones and put them in the place of those stones. And he will take other mortar and plaster the house. If the sore returns and breaks out in the house after he's taken out the stones and after he's scraped the house and after it's plastered, Then the priest will come and look. And if the sore has spread in the house, it's an eating disease in the house. It is unclean. He will pull down the house, its stones and its timber and all the mortar of the house. And he will carry them out of the town to an unclean place. Anyone who goes into the house while it's shut up will be unclean until evening. The one who lies in the house will wash his clothes. And the one who eats in the house will wash his clothes. If the priest comes in and looks at it, and the sore hasn't spread in the house after the house was plastered, then the priest will say the house is clean, because the sore is healed. And to clean the house he will take two birds and cedar wood and scarlet and hyssop. He will kill one of the birds in a clay pot over running water.
