Drive out the people of the land

The Lord spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho: Speak to the Israelites and say to them: When you go over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, Then you will drive out all the people of the land before you, and destroy all their carved images and destroy all their cast images, and pull down all their worship shrines. And you will drive out the people of the land and live in it. Because I have given you the land to own. And you will divide the land by lot as an inheritance among your families. To the bigger group you will give more inheritance, and to the smaller group you will give less inheritance. Every man's inheritance will be where his lot falls. You will inherit according to the tribes of your fathers. But if you will not drive out the people of the land before you, then those you let stay of them will be pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they will trouble you in the land where you live. So it will be that I will do to you what I thought to do to them.

And the Lord spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho: Speak to the people of Israel and say to them: When you go over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, then you'll drive out all the people of the land in front of you, and wreck all their carved images and wreck all their cast images, and pull down all their high places. And you'll drive out the people of the land and live in it. Because I've given you the land to own. And you'll divide the land by lot as an inheritance among your families. To the bigger group you'll give more inheritance, and to the smaller group you'll give less inheritance. Every man's inheritance will be where his lot falls. You'll inherit according to the tribes of your fathers. But if you won't drive out the people of the land in front of you, then the ones you let stay of them will be pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they'll trouble you in the land where you live. So it'll be that I'll do to you what I thought to do to them.

And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan; Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places: And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it. And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit. But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

Plain English
