What they promised
And the rest of the people — the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and everyone who had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands for the law of God, along with their wives and their sons and their daughters, everyone who could understand — joined their brothers and their nobles, and bound themselves with a curse and an oath to walk in God's law, given through Moses the servant of God, and to keep and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord, and his judgements and his rules. And that we wouldn't give our daughters to the peoples of the land, or take their daughters for our sons. And that if the peoples of the land brought goods or any food to sell on the sabbath day, we wouldn't buy from them on the sabbath or on any holy day. And that every seventh year we would let the land rest and cancel every debt. We also took on the obligation to give a third of a shekel each year for the service of the house of our God: for the bread of the Presence, and the regular grain offering, and the regular burnt offering, for the sabbaths, the new moons and the appointed feasts, for the holy things and the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. And we cast lots among the priests, the Levites and the people for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God by families at appointed times year by year, to burn on the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the law. And to bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit from every tree, year by year, to the house of the Lord. And the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstborn of our herds and our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who serve there. And to bring the first of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of every kind of tree, and the wine and the oil, to the priests, to the storerooms of the house of our God. And the tithe of our ground to the Levites, since the Levites collect the tithes in all our farming towns. And a priest, a son of Aaron, is to be with the Levites when they collect the tithes. And the Levites are to bring a tenth of the tithes up to the house of our God, to the storerooms of the treasury. Because the Israelites and the Levites are to bring the offering of grain and new wine and oil to the storerooms, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, and the priests who serve, and the gatekeepers and the singers. And we will not neglect the house of our God.
And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and everyone who'd set themselves apart from the peoples of the lands to the teaching of God, their wives, their sons and their daughters, everyone who had knowledge and understanding — they joined their brothers, their nobles, and went into a curse and into an oath to walk in God's teaching that was given by Moses the servant of God, and to watch and do all the orders of the Lord our Lord and his judgments and his rules, and that we wouldn't give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons. And if the peoples of the land brought goods or any food on the sabbath day to sell, that we wouldn't buy it from them on the sabbath or on a holy day. And that we'd leave the seventh year and the demanding of every debt. We made rules for ourselves too, to charge ourselves a third of a shekel every year for the service of the house of our God — for the bread of the Presence and for the daily grain offering and for the daily burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts and for the holy things and for the sin offerings to cover over for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. And we cast lots among the priests, the Levites and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God according to the houses of our fathers, at set times year by year, to burn on the altar of the Lord our God, the way it's written in the teaching. And to bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit of every tree, year by year, to the house of the Lord. And the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, the way it's written in the teaching, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who serve in the house of our God. And that we'd bring the first of our dough and our offerings and the fruit of every tree, of wine and of oil, to the priests, to the rooms of the house of our God. And the tenths of our ground to the Levites, so the Levites could have the tenths in all the towns where we work. And the priest, the son of Aaron, will be with the Levites when the Levites take tenths. And the Levites will bring up a tenth of the tenths to the house of our God, to the rooms, into the treasure house. Because the people of Israel and the sons of Levi will bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine and the oil, to the rooms where the vessels of the holy place are, and the priests who serve and the gatekeepers and the singers. And we won't leave the house of our God.
And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding; They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes; And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons: And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God; For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law: And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD: Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God: And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage. And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house. For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.
And the rest of the people — the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and everyone who had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands for the law of God, along with their wives and their sons and their daughters, everyone who could understand —
And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and everyone who'd set themselves apart from the peoples of the lands to the teaching of God, their wives, their sons and their daughters, everyone who had knowledge and understanding —

they joined their brothers, their nobles, and went into a curse and into an oath to walk in God's teaching that was given by Moses the servant of God, and to watch and do all the orders of the Lord our Lord and his judgments and his rules,
They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
And that we wouldn't give our daughters to the peoples of the land, or take their daughters for our sons.
and that we wouldn't give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons.
And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:

And the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, the way it's written in the teaching, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who serve in the house of our God.
Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God:
