The fast I choose

Isn't it to share your bread with the hungry, bring the poor who are cast out into your house, cover the naked when you see him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light will break forth like the morning, your health will spring forth quickly, your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you'll call, and the LORD will answer. You'll cry, and he'll say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from among you, the pointing finger and speaking wickedness, and if you draw out your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness and your darkness will be like midday. The LORD will guide you always, satisfy your soul in drought and make your bones fat. You'll be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters don't fail. Those from among you will build the old waste places. You'll raise up the foundations of many generations, and you'll be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Paths to live In.

If you turn your foot away from the sabbath, from doing your own pleasure on my holy day, and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and honour him, not doing your own ways, finding your own pleasure or speaking your own words, then you'll delight yourself in the LORD, and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the LORD has spoken it.
