From Adam to Jared
This is the record of Adam's line. When God created people, He made them in the likeness of God. Male and female He made them, and He blessed them, and He called them “people” on the day they were made. Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and had a son in his own likeness, in his own image, and named him Seth. After Seth was born, Adam lived another eight hundred years, and had other sons and daughters. All up, Adam lived nine hundred and thirty years. And then he died. Seth lived a hundred and five years and had Enosh. After Enosh was born, Seth lived another eight hundred and seven years, and had other sons and daughters. All up, Seth lived nine hundred and twelve years. And then he died. Enosh lived ninety years and had Kenan. After Kenan was born, Enosh lived another eight hundred and fifteen years, and had other sons and daughters. All up, Enosh lived nine hundred and five years. And then he died. Kenan lived seventy years and had Mahalalel. After Mahalalel was born, Kenan lived another eight hundred and forty years, and had other sons and daughters. All up, Kenan lived nine hundred and ten years. And then he died. Mahalalel lived sixty-five years and had Jared. After Jared was born, Mahalalel lived another eight hundred and thirty years, and had other sons and daughters. All up, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and ninety-five years. And then he died. Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years and had Enoch. After Enoch was born, Jared lived another eight hundred years, and had other sons and daughters. After Jared was born, Mahalalel lived another eight hundred and thirty years, and had other sons and daughters.

Enoch
Enoch lived sixty-five years and had Methuselah. After Methuselah was born, Enoch walked with God for another three hundred years, and had other sons and daughters. All up, Enoch lived three hundred and sixty-five years. Enoch walked with God. And then he wasn't there, because God took him.

He named him Noah, and said, “This one will give us relief from our work and from the hard yakka of our hands, on the ground the Lord has cursed.” After Noah was born, Lamech lived another five hundred and ninety-five years, and had other sons and daughters. All up, Lamech lived seven hundred and seventy-seven years. And then he died. Noah was five hundred years old, and he had Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Methuselah lived a hundred and eighty-seven years and had Lamech.
After Lamech was born, Methuselah lived another seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had other sons and daughters.
All up, Methuselah lived nine hundred and sixty-nine years. And then he died.
