The offering
The Lord spoke to Moses: Speak to the Israelites, that they bring me an offering. You'll take my offering from every man who gives it willingly with his heart. And this is the offering you'll take from them: gold and silver and bronze, And blue, purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats' hair, And rams' skins dyed red and fine leather and acacia wood, Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil and for sweet incense, Onyx stones and stones to be set in the priestly apron and in the breastplate. 'Let them make me a sanctuary, so I may live among them.' 'Make it exactly according to the pattern of the tent and all its furnishings that I show you.'
And the Lord spoke to Moses: Speak to the people of Israel, that they bring me an offering. You'll take my offering from every man who gives it willingly with his heart. And this is the offering you'll take from them: gold and silver and bronze, and blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats' hair, and rams' skins dyed red and fine leather and acacia wood, oil for the light, spices for anointing oil and for sweet incense, onyx stones and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastpiece. And let them make me a holy place, so I can live among them. According to everything I show you, the pattern of the tent and the pattern of all its vessels — that's how you'll make it.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering. And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass, And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats’ hair, And rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins, and shittim wood, Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense, Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate. And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

The ark
They'll make an ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide and a cubit and a half high. You'll cover it with pure gold. Inside and outside you'll cover it, and you'll make a crown of gold around it. You'll cast four rings of gold for it and put them in its four corners — two rings on one side of it and two rings on the other side. You'll make poles of acacia wood and cover them with gold. You'll put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, so the ark can be carried with them. The poles will stay in the rings of the ark. They won't be taken out of it. You'll put into the ark the testimony I'll give you. You will make a ark's cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. Make two cherubim of gold, beaten work, at the two ends of the ark's cover. Make one cherub at one end and the other cherub at the other end. Make the cherubim of one piece with the ark's cover at its two ends. The cherubim will stretch their wings upward, covering the ark's cover with their wings, and they will face one another, looking toward the ark's cover. Put the cover on top of the ark, and put inside the ark the testimony I will give you. 'There I will meet with you. From above the ark's cover, between the two cherubim on the ark of the covenant, I will speak with you about everything I command you for the Israelites.'
And they'll make an ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide and a cubit and a half high. And you'll cover it with pure gold. And you'll cast four rings of gold for it and put them in its four corners — two rings on one side of it and two rings on the other side. And you'll make poles of acacia wood and cover them with gold. And you'll put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, so the ark can be carried with them. The poles will stay in the rings of the ark. They won't be taken out of it. And you'll put into the ark the testimony I'll give you. And you'll make a covering of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. And you'll make two cherubim of gold. You'll make them of beaten work, at the two ends of the covering. And make one cherub on one end and the other cherub on the other end. You'll make the cherubim of one piece with the covering, on its two ends. And the cherubim will stretch out their wings on high, covering the covering with their wings, and their faces will look at each other. The faces of the cherubim will look towards the covering. And you'll put the covering above on the ark. And in the ark you'll put the testimony I'll give you. And I'll meet with you there and talk with you from above the covering, from between the two cherubim on the ark of the testimony, about everything I'll give you as orders for the people of Israel.
And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.
