The priests' share
The priests, the Levites, and the whole tribe of Levi will have no part or inheritance with Israel. They'll eat the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and his inheritance. So they will have no inheritance among their brothers. The Lord is their inheritance, as he has said to them. This is the priest's share from anyone offering an ox or sheep: the shoulder, the two cheeks and the stomach. You'll give him the first of your grain and your new wine and your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep. Because the Lord your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand and serve in the name of the Lord, him and his sons forever. If a Levite comes from any of your gates out of all Israel, where he has been staying, and comes with all the desire of his heart to the place the Lord chooses, then he'll minister in the name of the Lord his God, as all his brothers the Levites do who stand there before the Lord. They will have the same share of food, on top of whatever they receive from selling family property.

Don't learn their disgusting things
When you come into the land the Lord your God is giving you, don't learn to do the disgusting things those nations do. There won't be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire, or one who uses divination, observes times, is an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, someone who consults a medium, a spiritist, or someone who calls up the dead. Because everyone who does these things is disgusting to the Lord. And it's because of these disgusting things that the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You'll be perfect with the Lord your God. These nations you'll possess listened to observers of times and diviners, but the Lord your God has not allowed you to do so.

You'll be whole with the Lord your God. Because these nations you're driving out listened to men who watch for omens and to fortune-tellers. But as for you, the Lord your God hasn't let you do that.

A prophet like me
The Lord your God will raise up a prophet for you from among you, from your brothers, like me. Listen to him — This is according to everything you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, 'Do not let me hear the voice of the Lord my God again or see this great fire any more, or I will die.' The Lord said to me: They've spoken well in what they've said. I'll raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. And I'll put my words in his mouth, and he'll speak to them everything I command him. Whoever will not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I will require it of him. But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet will die. If you say in your heart: How will we know the word the Lord hasn't spoken? — When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord and the thing does not follow or come to pass, that is the word the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be afraid of him.

But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
