Live to the will of God
So since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mind, because whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live the rest of his time in the flesh not for human cravings but for the will of God. You have spent enough of your life doing what the Gentiles like to do — living in loose ways, in cravings, in heavy drinking, in wild parties and drinking sessions, and in disgraceful idol worship. They think it strange that you don't run with them into the same excess of riot, and they speak evil of you for it. But they will have to give an account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. This is why the gospel was preached even to the dead, so that though they were judged according to men in the flesh, they might live according to God in the spirit. The end of all things is near. So keep your head and stay sober, so you can pray. Above everything, love one another deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Put each other up without grumbling about it. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve the others, as good stewards of God's grace in its many forms. If anyone speaks, let him speak as one bringing the words of God. If anyone serves, let him do it out of the strength God supplies, so that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him be praise and power forever and ever. Amen.
So since Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mind too. Because the one who's suffered in the flesh has stopped with sin. So he shouldn't from now on live the rest of his time in the flesh to what men want but to the will of God. Because the time past of our life is enough for us to have done the will of the nations — when we walked in loose living, wanting, too much wine, wild parties, drinking bouts and disgusting idol worship. In this they think it strange that you don't run with them into the same wild waste, speaking evil of you. Who'll give account to the one who's ready to judge the living and the dead. Because for this reason the good news was preached to the dead too, so they could be judged according to men in the flesh but live according to God in the spirit. But the end of everything is close. So be sober and watch to prayer. And above everything have strong love among yourselves. Because love will cover a crowd of sins. Take strangers in to each other without grumbling. As every man has got the gift, serve each other with it, as good stewards of the many-sided grace of God. If any man speaks, let him speak as the words of God. If any man serves, let him do it as of the ability God gives — so God in everything can be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and rule forever and ever. Amen.
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
So since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mind, because whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
So since Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mind too. Because the one who's suffered in the flesh has stopped with sin.
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
so as to live the rest of his time in the flesh not for human cravings but for the will of God.
So he shouldn't from now on live the rest of his time in the flesh to what men want but to the will of God.
That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

Suffering as a Christian
Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery trial you are going through, as though something strange were happening to you. Instead be glad that you share in Christ's sufferings, so you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is spoken evil of, but on your part he is glorified. But none of you should suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a busybody in other people’s business. But if you suffer as a Christian, don't be ashamed. Glorify God on this behalf. Because the time has come for judgement to begin with the household of God. And if it begins with us, what will the end be for those who don't obey the gospel of God? And if the righteous are scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear? So those who suffer according to God's will should hand over their souls to a faithful Creator, and go on doing good.
Beloved, don't think it strange about the fiery trial that's to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you. But celebrate, in as much as you're partakers of Christ's sufferings — so when his glory will be shown, you can be glad too with great joy. If you're insulted for the name of Christ, happy are you. Because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he's spoken evil of, but on your part he's glorified. But don't let any of you suffer as a murderer or as a thief or as an evildoer or as a busybody in other men's matters. But if any man suffers as a Christian, don't let him be ashamed. But let him give glory to God on this behalf. Because the time has come that judgment has to start at the house of God. And if it first starts with us, what'll the end be of the ones who don't obey the good news of God? And if the righteous are hardly saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear? So let the ones who suffer according to the will of God hand over the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as to a faithful Creator.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
