Feed the flock
To the elders among you I appeal, as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ's sufferings, and one who will share in the glory to be revealed: Look after the flock of God under your care, watching over it — not because you have to, but willingly; not in it for the money, but keen to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will get a crown of glory that never fades. In the same way, you younger men, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes, all of you be subject to one another and be clothed with humility, because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. So humble yourselves under God's mighty hand, and he will lift you up in due time. Cast all your care on him, because he cares for you.

Stand up to him, firm in the faith, knowing that your brothers throughout the world are going through the same kind of suffering. But the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you. To him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen.
