The ravens at the brook
Elijah the Tishbite, from the people of Gilead, said to Ahab: As surely as the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there will be neither dew nor rain these years except at my word. Then the Lord spoke to Elijah: Leave here, head east and hide by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan. You will drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there. So Elijah went and did what the Lord had told him. He stayed by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook. After a while the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land.

So Elijah went and did what the Lord had told him. He stayed by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan.
So he went and did according to the word of the Lord. Because he went and lived by the brook Kerith that's in front of the Jordan.
So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

Then the Lord spoke to him: Get up and go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and stay there. I have commanded a widow there to provide for you. So he went to Zarephath. When he reached the city gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her: Could you bring me a little water in a jar so I can have a drink? As she went to get it, he called after her: And please bring me a bit of bread as well. She said: As surely as the Lord your God lives, I haven't got any bread — only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I'm gathering a couple of sticks now so I can cook one last meal for myself and my son. We'll eat it, and then we'll die. Elijah told her: Don't be afraid. Go and do what you've said, but first make me a small cake from it and bring it to me. After that, make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord God of Israel says: The jar of flour will not run out, and the jug of oil will not run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the land. She went and did what Elijah told her. She, Elijah and her household had food for many days. The jar of flour did not run out and the jug of oil did not run dry, according to the word of the Lord spoken through Elijah.

The jar of flour won't run out, and the jug of oil won't fail, till the day the Lord sends rain on the earth. And she went and did the way Elijah said. And she and he and her house ate plenty of days. And the jar of flour didn't run out and the jug of oil didn't fail, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by Elijah.

And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.
Then the Lord spoke to him:

So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
As she went to get it, he called after her: And please bring me a bit of bread as well.
And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her: Bring me a bit of bread in your hand, please.
And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
She said: As surely as the Lord your God lives, I haven't got any bread — only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I'm gathering a couple of sticks now so I can cook one last meal for myself and my son. We'll eat it, and then we'll die.

The widow's son
Some time later the son of the woman who owned the house became ill. His sickness grew so severe that there was no breath left in him. She said to Elijah: What have you got against me, man of God? Have you come here to remind me of my sin and bring about my son's death? Elijah said: Give me your son. He took the boy from her arms, carried him up to the room where he was staying and laid him on his bed. Then he cried to the Lord: Lord my God, have you brought tragedy even on this widow who has taken me in, by letting her son die? He stretched himself over the child three times and cried to the Lord: Lord my God, please let this child's life return to him. The Lord heard Elijah's cry. The child's life returned to him, and he lived. Elijah carried the child down from the upstairs room into the house and gave him to his mother. He said: Look — your son is alive. The woman told Elijah: Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is truth.
And after these things, the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick. And his sickness was so bad that there was no breath left in him. And she said to Elijah: What have I got to do with you, man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to mind and to kill my son? And he said to her: Give me your son. And he took him out of her chest and carried him up into a room where he stayed, and laid him on his own bed. And he cried out to the Lord: Lord my God, have you brought trouble on the widow I'm staying with too, by killing her son? And he stretched himself out on the child three times and cried out to the Lord: Lord my God, let this child's soul come into him again, please. And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah. And the soul of the child came into him again, and he lived. And Elijah took the child and brought him down out of the room into the house and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said: See — your son is alive. And the woman said to Elijah: Now by this I know you're a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is true.

And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child’s soul come into him again. And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived. And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth. And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth.

The Lord heard Elijah's cry. The child's life returned to him, and he lived.
And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah. And the soul of the child came into him again, and he lived.
And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
Elijah carried the child down from the upstairs room into the house and gave him to his mother. He said: Look — your son is alive.
And Elijah took the child and brought him down out of the room into the house and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said: See — your son is alive.
