Sound teaching for all

In all things show yourself a pattern of good works; in teaching show uncorruptness, gravity and sincerity, and let your speech be sound and beyond condemnation, so anyone on the other side may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. Servants: tell them to do as their masters say and to give satisfaction in everything, and not to answer back. Not to help themselves to things, but to show they can be trusted right through — so in everything they make the teaching of God our Saviour look good.

He gave himself for us, to buy us back from all wrongdoing and to make clean for himself a people of his own, keen on doing good. That's what to teach. Encourage it, and pull people up when it's needed, with all the authority you've got. Don't let anyone look down on you.
