Carry each other's weakness
We who are strong ought to bear with the weaknesses of those who aren't, and not just please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour, for his good, to build him up. Because even Christ didn't please himself. As it is written: The insults of those who insulted you fell on me. For whatever was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through patience and the comfort of the scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be of one mind toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, so that with one mind and one mouth you may glorify God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. So take one another in, just as Christ took us in, to the glory of God. Now I say that Jesus Christ became a servant to the circumcised for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers, and so the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: For this reason I will confess you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name. And again it says: Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people. And again: Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise him. And again Esaias says: There will be a root of Jesse, and one who will rise to rule over the Gentiles. In him the Gentiles will hope. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe, so you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Paul's work among the nations
And I am persuaded about you myself, my brothers, that you are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct one another. Even so, brothers, I have written to you rather boldly on some points, to remind you again, because of the grace God gave me to be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, serving the gospel of God like a priest, so the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, made holy by the Holy Spirit. So in Christ Jesus I've got something to be proud of when it comes to serving God. Because I won't dare to speak of anything except what Christ has done through me, to bring the Gentiles to obedience, by word and deed, through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem, and all the way round to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. And I have made it my aim to preach the gospel where Christ hasn't been named, so I wouldn't build on another man's foundation, but as it is written: Those who were never told about him will see, and those who have never heard will understand. That is why I have been held up so often from coming to you. But now, with no more room for work in these parts, and having wanted for many years to come to you, whenever I set out for Spain I will come to you. Because I hope to see you on the way, and to be sent on there by you, once I have enjoyed your company for a while. But right now I am going to Jerusalem to serve the saints. Because it has pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a contribution for the poor saints in Jerusalem. It has pleased them, and they are in their debt. Because if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they owe it to them to serve them in material things. So when I have finished this and handed over the proceeds to them, I will go on to Spain by way of you. And I am sure that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ. Now I beg you, brothers, for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ and for the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for me — that I may be delivered from those in Judaea who don't believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, so I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and be refreshed along with you. Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

But now having no more place in these parts, and having had a great longing these plenty of years to come to you, whenever I take my journey into Spain, I'll come to you. Because I trust to see you on my journey and to be brought on my way there by you, if first I can be somewhat filled with your company. But now I go to Jerusalem to serve the holy ones. Because it's pleased the ones of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain gift for the poor holy ones at Jerusalem. It's pleased them truly, and they're in debt to them. Because if the nations have shared in their spiritual things, their duty is to serve them in fleshly things too. So I can be rescued from the ones who don't believe in Judea, and so my service that I have for Jerusalem can be taken by the holy ones. That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
So in Christ Jesus I've got something to be proud of when it comes to serving God.
So I've got something to boast of through Jesus Christ in the things about God.

That is why I have been held up so often from coming to you.

It has pleased them, and they are in their debt. Because if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they owe it to them to serve them in material things.
It's pleased them truly, and they're in debt to them. Because if the nations have shared in their spiritual things, their duty is to serve them in fleshly things too.
It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

so I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and be refreshed along with you.
