Glorify your Son

Jesus spoke these words, and looked up to heaven and said, Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so your Son may glorify you. As you have given him authority over all flesh, so he may give eternal life to all you have given him. And this is life eternal: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have glorified you on the earth. I have finished the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory I had with you before the world was. I have made your name known to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they have known that everything you have given me is from you. Because I have given them the words you gave me, and they have received them, and have known for certain that I came from you. And they have believed that you sent me. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, because they are yours. And all that is mine is yours, and yours is mine. And I am glorified in them. And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep through your own name those you have given me, so they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name. Those you gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost except the son of destruction, so the scripture might be fulfilled. And now I am coming to you. And I say these things in the world, so they may have my joy made full in themselves.

Jesus spoke these words and lifted up his eyes to heaven: Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so your Son can glorify you too. The way you've given him power over all flesh, so he can give everlasting life to as many as you've given him. And this is life everlasting — that they can know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ who you've sent. I've glorified you on the earth. I've finished the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me with yourself, with the glory I had with you before the world was. I've shown your name to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them me, and they've kept your word. Now they've known that everything you've given me is of you. Because I've given them the words you gave me. And they've taken them and have known for sure that I came out from you, and they've believed you sent me. I pray for them. I don't pray for the world, but for the ones you've given me. Because they're yours. And everything of mine is yours, and yours is mine. And I'm glorified in them. And now I'm not in the world any more, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep in your own name the ones you've given me, so they can be one, the way we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name. The ones you gave me I've kept, and none of them is lost except the son of ruin, so the scripture could be carried out. And now I come to you. And I speak these things in the world, so they can have my joy filled up in them.

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

Keep them from evil

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they aren't of the world, just as I am not of the world. I don't pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil one. They aren't of the world, just as I am not of the world. Make them holy through your truth. Your word is truth. As you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I make myself holy, so they too may be made holy through the truth. And I don't pray for these alone, but for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one — as you, Father, are in me and I in you — that they also may be one in us, so the world may believe that you have sent me. And the glory you gave me I have given them, so they may be one, just as we are one. I in them and you in me, so they may be made perfectly one, and so the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them as you have loved me. Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, so they may see my glory, which you have given me. Because you loved me before the foundation of the world. Righteous Father, the world hasn't known you. But I have known you, and these have known that you sent me. And I have made your name known to them, and will go on making it known — so the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I in them.

I've given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they aren't of the world, the way I'm not of the world. I don't pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from evil. They aren't of the world, the way I'm not of the world. Make them holy through your truth. Your word is truth. The way you've sent me into the world, that's how I've sent them into the world too. And for their sakes I make myself holy, so they can be made holy through the truth too. And I don't pray for these alone, but for the ones who'll believe in me through their word too. That they can all be one, the way you, Father, are in me and I in you — that they can be one in us too, so the world can believe you've sent me. And the glory you gave me I've given them, so they can be one, the way we are one. I in them and you in me, so they can be made whole in one, and so the world can know you've sent me and have loved them the way you've loved me. Father, I want the ones you've given me to be with me where I am too, so they can see my glory that you've given me. Because you loved me before the foundation of the world. Righteous Father, the world hasn't known you. But I've known you, and these have known you've sent me. And I've shown them your name and will show it — so the love you've loved me with can be in them, and I in them.

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they aren't of the world, just as I am not of the world.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

And I don't pray for these alone, but for those who will believe in me through their word,

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21

that they may all be one — as you, Father, are in me and I in you — that they also may be one in us, so the world may believe that you have sent me.
