The anointing at Bethany
Then six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, the man who had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. There they made him a supper, and Martha served. But Lazarus was one of those sitting at the table with him. Then Mary took a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the smell of the ointment. Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, who was going to betray him, said, Why wasn't this ointment sold for three hundred silver coins and the money given to the poor? He said this not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief. He had the money bag, and he helped himself to what was put in it. Then Jesus said, Leave her alone. Look — your King is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt. His disciples didn't understand these things at first. But when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him, and that they had done these things to him. So the crowd who were with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead bore witness. This is why the crowd went out to meet him — because they had heard he had done this sign. So the Pharisees said among themselves, Do you see how you are getting nowhere? Look — the whole world has gone after him.

I tell you the truth, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it stays alone. But if it dies, it brings forth much fruit. Whoever loves his life will lose it. And whoever hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. If any man serves me, let him follow me. And where I am, there my servant will be too. If any man serves me, my Father will honour him. Now my soul is troubled. And what should I say? Father, save me from this hour? But it was for this very reason that I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name. Then a voice came from heaven, saying, I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again. So the crowd standing there heard it and said it thundered. While you have the light, believe in the light, so you may be children of light. Jesus said these things, and then went away and hid himself from them.

Unbelief
But though he had done so many signs in front of them, they still didn't believe in him. So the word of Esaias the prophet was fulfilled, which he spoke: Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? This is why they couldn't believe, because Esaias said again: He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so they wouldn't see with their eyes or understand with their heart and turn, and I should heal them. Esaias said these things when he saw his glory, and spoke of him. Even so, many among the chief rulers believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they wouldn't confess him, in case they were put out of the synagogue. Because they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. And Jesus cried out and said, Whoever believes in me doesn't believe in me but in the one who sent me. And whoever sees me sees the one who sent me. I have come as a light into the world, so that whoever believes in me shouldn't stay in darkness. And if any man hears my words and doesn't believe, I don't judge him. Because I didn't come to judge the world, but to save the world. Whoever rejects me and doesn't receive my words has one who judges him. The word I have spoken will judge him at the last day. Because I haven't spoken on my own. The Father who sent me gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know his command is everlasting life. So whatever I speak, I speak just as the Father has told me.

And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Whoever rejects me and doesn't receive my words has one who judges him. The word I have spoken will judge him at the last day.
The one who throws me off and doesn't take my words has one who judges him. The word I've spoken, that'll judge him in the last day.
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Because I haven't spoken on my own. The Father who sent me gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.
Because I haven't spoken of myself. But the Father who sent me gave me an order what I should say and what I should speak.
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
And I know his command is everlasting life. So whatever I speak, I speak just as the Father has told me.
And I know his order is life everlasting. So whatever I speak, the way the Father said to me, that's how I speak.
And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
