God is mighty
Elihu continued: "Bear with me a little, and I will show you that I still have words to speak on God's behalf. I will bring my knowledge from afar and ascribe righteousness to my Maker. Truly my words will not be false; the one who is perfect in knowledge is with you. God is mighty, but he despises no one; he is mighty in strength and wisdom. He does not preserve the life of the wicked, but gives right to the poor. He does not withdraw his eyes from the righteous. With kings are they on the throne; yes, he establishes them forever, and they are exalted. If they are bound in chains and held in cords of suffering, then he shows them their work and their wrongdoings, where they have acted proudly. He opens their ear to discipline and commands that they return from wrongdoing. If they obey and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures. But if they do not obey, they will perish by the sword and die without knowledge. The hypocrites in heart heap up anger; they do not cry when he binds them. They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean. He delivers the poor in his suffering and opens their ears in oppression. He would have brought you out of the tight place into a broad place with no confinement, and your table would have been full of rich food. But you have fulfilled the judgment of the wicked; judgment and justice take hold of you. Because there is anger, beware that he does not sweep you away with his stroke; then no great ransom can deliver you. Will he esteem your riches? No, not gold, nor all the forces of strength. Do not desire the night, when people are cut off in their place. Take heed, do not regard wrongdoing, for you have chosen this rather than suffering.

And if they're bound in chains and held in cords of trouble, then he shows them what they've done, and where they've stepped over, that they've grown big. He opens their ear to correction too, and orders them to turn back from wrongdoing. If they listen and serve him, they'll spend their days in doing well and their years in pleasures. But if they won't listen, they'll die by the sword, and they'll die without knowledge. But the godless in heart heap up anger. They don't cry out when he ties them up. They die when they're young, and their life is among the unclean. He rescues the poor in his trouble and opens their ears in hard times. He'd have taken you out of the narrow place into a wide place with nothing shut in, and what's set on your table would be full of fatness. But you've carried out the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you. Because there's anger, watch out, or he might take you away with his blow. Then a big ransom can't rescue you. Will he value your riches? Wait for me a bit, and I'll show you that I've still got something to say for God.
Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God’s behalf.
I will bring my knowledge from afar and ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
I'll bring my knowledge from far off, and I'll give what's right to my Maker.
I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
Truly my words will not be false; the one who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
Because truly my words won't be false. The one who's whole in knowledge is with you.
For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.
God is mighty, but he despises no one; he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

Make his work great
God is exalted by his power. Who teaches like him? Who has appointed him his way? Who can say, 'You have worked wrongdoing'? Remember to magnify his work, which people have sung about. Everyone can see it; people look upon it from far away. God is great, beyond what we can know; the number of his years cannot be searched out. For he makes small the drops of water; they pour down rain according to its vapour, which the clouds drop and distil abundantly upon man. Can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds or the thunder from his pavilion? He spreads his light over the earth and covers the depths of the sea. For by them he judges the people; he gives food in abundance. With clouds he covers the light and commands it not to shine by the cloud that comes between. Its noise announces it, and even the cattle sense the approaching vapour."
Look — God is lifted up in his power. Who teaches like him? Who's set him his way? Or who can say: You've done wrong? Remember to make his work great, that men look at. Every man can see it. Man can look at it from far off. Look — God is great, and we don't know him. And the number of his years can't be searched out. Because he draws up the drops of water.
