Elihu speaks up
So these three men stopped answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes. Then the anger of Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled against Job. He was angry because Job justified himself rather than God. He was also angry with Job's three friends because they had found no answer, yet they had still condemned Job. Elihu had waited until Job had finished speaking because the others were older than he was. When Elihu saw that the three men had no answer left, his anger was kindled. Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite answered, "I am young and you are very old, so I kept my mouth shut and was afraid to give my opinion. I reckoned, 'Age should speak, and many years should teach wisdom.' But there is a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding. Great men are not always wise, nor do the aged always understand judgment. So I say, listen to me. I will show my opinion as well. I waited for your words and listened to your reasoning while you searched for what to say. I paid close attention to you, and not one of you convinced Job or answered his words. So don't say, 'We have found wisdom. God thrusts him down, not man.' He has not directed his words against me, and I will not answer him with your speeches. They were amazed. They answered no more; they stopped speaking. I waited, but they did not speak. They stood still and answered no more. I said, 'I will answer my part as well; I too will show my opinion.' I am full of words; the spirit within me compels me. My belly is like wine with no vent, ready to burst like new bottles. I have to speak so I can breathe. I'll open my lips and answer. Let me not, I beg you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles to man. I do not know how to give flattering titles; if I did, my Maker would soon take me away."

And Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite answered: I'm young and you're very old. So I was frightened and didn't dare show you what I thought. I said: Days should speak, and plenty of years should teach wisdom. But there's a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding. Great men aren't always wise, and the aged don't always understand judgment. So I said: Listen to me. I'll show what I think too. Look — I waited for your words. I listened to your reasons while you searched out what to say. Yes, I paid attention to you. And look — there wasn't one of you who proved Job wrong or answered his words. So don't say: We've found wisdom. God pushes him down, not man. Now he hasn't turned his words against me, and I won't answer him with your speeches. They were shocked. They didn't answer any more. They stopped speaking. When I'd waited — because they didn't speak but stood still and didn't answer any more — I said: I'll answer my part too. I'll show what I think too. Because I'm full of words. The spirit inside me pushes me. Look — my belly is like wine with no vent. It's ready to burst like new wineskins. I'll speak, so I can get some relief. I'll open my lips and answer. Please don't let me take anyone's side. And I won't give flattering names to any man. Because I don't know how to give flattering names. If I did, my Maker would take me away quickly.

Yes, I paid attention to you. And look — there wasn't one of you who proved Job wrong or answered his words.
Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
So don't say, 'We have found wisdom. God thrusts him down, not man.'
So don't say: We've found wisdom. God pushes him down, not man.
Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
He has not directed his words against me, and I will not answer him with your speeches.
Now he hasn't turned his words against me, and I won't answer him with your speeches.

They were amazed. They answered no more; they stopped speaking.
