Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz
The LORD also said to me, ‘Take a great roll and write on it with a man's pen about Mahershalalhashbaz.’ And I took faithful witnesses to record it for me: Uriah the priest and Zechariah son of Jeberechiah. Then I went to the prophetess, and she conceived and bore a son. The LORD said to me, ‘Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz.’ Before the child knows how to cry, ‘My father’ and ‘My mother,’ the riches of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be taken away before the king of Assyria. The LORD spoke to me again: Because this people refuses the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices in Rezin and Remaliah's son, The LORD is bringing up against them the waters of the River, strong and in flood — the king of Assyria and all his glory. It'll come up over all its channels and run over all its banks, He'll sweep through Judah, overflow and pass over, reaching even to the neck. The stretching out of his wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.
The Lord said to me: Take a big tablet and write on it in ordinary letters: Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. And I got reliable witnesses to record it for me — Uriah the priest and Zechariah son of Jeberekiah. Then I went to the prophetess, and she fell pregnant and gave birth to a son. And the Lord said to me: Call him Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. Because before the boy can say Dad or Mum, the wealth of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried off in front of the king of Assyria. The Lord spoke to me again: Because this people has knocked back the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and gone all soft on Rezin and the son of Remaliah, the Lord is bringing up against them the waters of the River, strong and in flood — the king of Assyria and all his glory. It'll come up over all its channels and run over all its banks, and it'll sweep on into Judah, flooding through, rising up to the neck. And the spread of its wings will fill the whole width of your land, Immanuel.
Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man’s pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz. And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah. And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz. For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria. The LORD spake also unto me again, saying, Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son; Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks: And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

The LORD spoke to me again:
The Lord spoke to me again:
The LORD spake also unto me again, saying,
Because this people refuses the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices in Rezin and Remaliah's son,
Because this people has knocked back the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and gone all soft on Rezin and the son of Remaliah,
Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;
The LORD is bringing up against them the waters of the River, strong and in flood — the king of Assyria and all his glory. It'll come up over all its channels and run over all its banks,
the Lord is bringing up against them the waters of the River, strong and in flood — the king of Assyria and all his glory. It'll come up over all its channels and run over all its banks,
Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
He'll sweep through Judah, overflow and pass over, reaching even to the neck. The stretching out of his wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.
and it'll sweep on into Judah, flooding through, rising up to the neck. And the spread of its wings will fill the whole width of your land, Immanuel.
And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
Fear the Lord, not the plot
Band together, you peoples, and you’ll be broken in pieces. Listen, all you from far countries. Get ready for battle, and you’ll be broken in pieces; get ready, and you’ll be broken in pieces. Take counsel together, and it will come to nothing. Speak the word, and it won't stand, because God is with us. This is what the LORD said to me with his strong hand on me, warning me not to walk in the way of this people: Don't say, ‘A confederacy,’ to everything this people calls a confederacy. Don't fear what they fear or be afraid. The LORD Almighty himself is the one you must honour as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. He'll be a sanctuary, but also a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence to both houses of Israel, a trap and a snare to the people of Jerusalem. Many among them will stumble and fall and be broken, and be snared and taken.
Make your racket, you peoples, and be broken. Listen, all you far countries. Strap on your gear and be broken. Strap it on and be broken. Make your plan — it'll come to nothing. Say your word — it won't stand. Because God is with us. This is what the Lord said to me with his strong hand on me, warning me not to walk in the way of this people: Don't call it a conspiracy every time this people calls something a conspiracy. Don't be afraid of what they're afraid of, and don't let it rattle you. The Lord Almighty — he's the one to treat as holy. Let him be the one you're afraid of. Let him be the one who rattles you. He'll be a sanctuary — but a stone to trip over and a rock to fall on for both houses of Israel, and a trap and a snare for the people of Jerusalem. Plenty of them will trip over it and fall and be broken, and be snared and caught.
Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us. For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

To the teaching and the testimony
Bind up the testimony; seal the law among my disciples. I will wait on the LORD, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. I and the children the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD Almighty, who lives in Mount Zion. When they tell you, ‘Seek those with familiar spirits and the wizards who peep and mutter,’ shouldn't a people seek their God? Should the living seek the dead? To the law and to the testimony. If they don't speak according to this word, it's because there is no light in them. They'll go through the land, hard pressed and starving. And when they're starving they'll rage and curse their king and their God, and look upward, And then look down at the earth — and there's nothing but trouble and darkness, the gloom of hard times, and they're driven into thick darkness.
Tie up the testimony. Seal up the teaching among my disciples. And I'll wait for the Lord, who's hiding his face from the house of Jacob. I'll put my hope in him. Here I am, and the children the Lord has given me. We're signs and portents in Israel from the Lord Almighty, who lives on Mount Zion. And when they say to you, Go and ask the mediums and the spiritists who chirp and mutter — shouldn't a people ask their God? Why ask the dead on behalf of the living? To the teaching and to the testimony. If they don't speak in line with this word, it's because there's no dawn in them. They'll go through the land, hard pressed and starving. And when they're starving they'll rage and curse their king and their God, and look upward, and then look down at the earth — and there's nothing but trouble and darkness, the gloom of hard times, and they're driven into thick darkness.

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.
