Two officials
Some time later, the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt offended their master, the king of Egypt. And Pharaoh was angry with his two officials, the chief cupbearer and the chief baker, and he put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, in the same prison where Joseph was held. The captain of the guard assigned them to Joseph, and he looked after them. They were in custody for some time. And each of the two — the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, being held in the prison — had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own. When Joseph came to them in the morning, he saw they were down. So he asked Pharaoh's officials, who were in custody with him in his master's house, “Why are your faces so glum today?” “We've both had dreams,” they said, “and there's nobody to tell us what they mean.” And Joseph said to them, “Don't interpretations belong to God? Tell me about them.”

The vine
So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. “In my dream,” he said, “there was a vine in front of me, and on the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded it blossomed, and its clusters ripened into grapes. Pharaoh's cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes and squeezed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I put the cup in his hand.” And Joseph said to him, “This is what it means. The three branches are three days. Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and give you your job back, and you'll put Pharaoh's cup in his hand the way you used to when you were his cupbearer. But when it goes well for you, remember me. Do me a kindness — mention me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this place. I was taken by force out of the land of the Hebrews, and I've done nothing here to deserve being put in this pit.”
So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. “In my dream,” he said, “there was a vine in front of me,

The baskets
When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I had a dream too. There were three baskets of bread on my head. In the top basket there was every kind of baked food for Pharaoh, and the birds were eating it out of the basket on my head.” And Joseph said, “This is what it means. The three baskets are three days. Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head — off you — and hang you on a tree. And the birds will eat your flesh.”
When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I had a dream too. There were three baskets of bread on my head.

Pharaoh's birthday
Three days later it was Pharaoh's birthday, and he put on a feast for all his officials. He lifted up the head of the chief cupbearer and the head of the chief baker in front of them. He gave the chief cupbearer his job back, so that he put the cup in Pharaoh's hand again. But he hanged the chief baker, just as Joseph had told them. And the chief cupbearer didn't remember Joseph. He forgot him.
Three days later it was Pharaoh's birthday, and he put on a feast for all his officials. He lifted up the head of the chief cupbearer and the head of the chief baker in front of them.
He gave the chief cupbearer his job back, so that he put the cup in Pharaoh's hand again.
But he hanged the chief baker, just as Joseph had told them.
