Isaac born

He took bread and a skin of water and gave it to Hagar, put it on her shoulder with the child, and sent her off. And she went, and wandered out in the wilderness of Beersheba. And when the water in the skin ran out, she put the child under one of the bushes. And she went and sat down a good way off, about a bowshot, because she said: Don't let me watch the child die. And she sat there across from him and lifted up her voice and wept. And God heard the boy's voice. And the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven and said: What's wrong, Hagar? Don't be frightened. God has heard the boy's voice where he is. Get up, lift the boy up and take him by the hand, because I'll make a great nation of him. And God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin and gave the boy a drink. And God was with the boy, and he grew up. He lived out in the wilderness and turned into a real hand with a bow. And he lived in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother got him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

And he said: Take these seven ewe lambs off me, so it stands as a witness that I dug this well. That's why the place is called Beersheba — because the two of them swore there. And Abraham planted a tamarisk at Beersheba, and called there on the name of the Lord, the everlasting God. And Abraham stopped in the Philistines' country a long while.
