I also give this order: if anyone changes this order, a beam is to be pulled from his house, set upright, and he is to be hanged on it. His house is then to be turned into a rubbish heap. And may the God who has caused his name to live there overthrow any king or people who lift a hand to alter this, or to destroy this house of God at Jerusalem. I, Darius, have given the order.
