The brick and the siege
And you, son of man, take a brick and set it before you and draw the city of Jerusalem on it. And lay siege to it. Build a siege wall against it and throw up a ramp against it. Set camps against it and put battering rams against it all round. Take an iron pan and set it as a wall of iron between you and the city. Set your face against it; it will be besieged, and you will lay siege against it. This will be a sign to the people of Israel. And lie on your left side and lay the wrongdoing of the people of Israel on it. You'll carry their wrongdoing for the number of days you lie on it. So you'll set your face towards the siege of Jerusalem with your arm bared, and you'll prophesy against it. And look: I'll put ropes on you, so you can't turn from one side to the other till you've finished the days of your siege.

And you'll eat it as a barley cake, and you'll bake it with human dung before their eyes. From my youth until now I have never eaten anything that died of itself or was torn in pieces, and no disgusting flesh has come into my mouth.” Then he said to me: Look: I've given you cow dung instead of human dung, and you'll get your bread ready on that. And he said to me: Son of man, look: I'm going to break the supply of bread in Jerusalem. And they'll eat bread by weight and with worry, and they'll drink water by measure and in shock — So they run short of bread and water and are shocked at each other, and waste away in their wrongdoing.
