The altar of incense
You'll make an altar to burn incense on. You'll make it of acacia wood. A cubit will be its length and a cubit its width. It'll be square. And two cubits will be its height. Its horns will be of one piece with it. You'll cover it with pure gold — its top and its sides all around and its horns. And you'll make a crown of gold for it all around. Make two gold rings for it beneath its crown, one on each side, to hold the poles used to carry it. You'll make the poles of acacia wood and cover them with gold. Put it before the veil beside the ark of the covenant, before the ark's cover over the testimony, where I will meet with you. Aaron will burn sweet incense on it every morning. When he sets the lamps in order, he'll burn incense on it. When Aaron lights the lamps at evening, he'll burn incense on it — incense that never stops before the Lord through your generations. You won't offer strange incense on it, or a burnt offering or a grain offering. And you won't pour a drink offering on it. Once a year Aaron will make atonement on its horns with the blood of the sin offering of atonements. Once a year throughout your generations he will make atonement on it. It is most holy to the Lord.

And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office. And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations. Upon man’s flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you. Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.
