Ordaining the priests
'This is what you must do to consecrate them to serve me as priests: Take one young bull and two rams without defect.' And unleavened bread and unleavened cakes mixed with oil and unleavened wafers spread with oil. You'll make them of wheat flour. You'll put them into one basket and bring them in the basket, with the bull and the two rams. You'll bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tent of meeting and wash them with water. You'll take the clothes and put the coat on Aaron, then the robe worn with the priestly apron, the priestly apron itself and the breastplate, and fasten the woven band around him. You'll put the turban on his head and put the holy crown on the turban. Then you'll take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him. You'll bring his sons and put coats on them. You'll strap them with sashes, Aaron and his sons, and put the hats on them. And the priesthood will be theirs as a permanent rule. And you'll fill the hand of Aaron and the hand of his sons. You'll make a bull be brought in front of the tent of meeting. And Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on the bull's head. You'll kill the bull before the Lord, by the door of the tent of meeting. You'll take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour out all the blood beside the bottom of the altar. You'll take all the fat that covers the insides, and the covering above the liver and the two kidneys and the fat on them, and burn them on the altar. But the flesh of the bull and its skin and its dung you'll burn with fire outside the camp. It's a sin offering. You'll take one ram too. And Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on the head of the ram. You'll kill the ram, and you'll take its blood and sprinkle it round on the altar. You'll cut the ram in pieces and wash its insides and its legs, and put them to its pieces and to its head. You'll burn the whole ram on the altar. It's a burnt offering to the Lord, a pleasing smell, an offering made by fire to the Lord. You'll take the other ram. And Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on the head of the ram. Then you'll kill the ram and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, and on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot. And he'll be consecrated, and his clothes, and his sons and his sons' clothes with him. It'll be Aaron's and his sons' as a permanent rule from the Israelites. Because it's a heave offering, and it'll be a heave offering from the Israelites of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, their heave offering to the Lord. The sacred garments of Aaron will be his sons' after him, to be anointed in them and to have their hand filled in them. The son who succeeds him as priest will wear them for seven days when he enters the tent of meeting to minister in the sanctuary. You'll take the ram of consecration and boil its flesh in the sanctuary. Aaron and his sons will eat the flesh of the ram and the bread that's in the basket, by the door of the tent of meeting. They will eat those things by which atonement was made, to consecrate them and make them holy. But a stranger must not eat them, because they are holy. And thou shalt cause a bullock to be brought before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the bullock. And thou shalt kill the bullock before the LORD, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, to be anointed therein, and to be consecrated in them. And that son that is priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when he cometh into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place. And thou shalt take the ram of the consecration, and seethe his flesh in the holy place. And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: but a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy. And if ought of the flesh of the consecrations, or of the bread, remain unto the morning, then thou shalt burn the remainder with fire: it shall not be eaten, because it is holy. And thus shalt thou do unto Aaron, and to his sons, according to all things which I have commanded thee: seven days shalt thou consecrate them.

The daily offering
Each day you will offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Cleanse the altar when you make atonement for it, and anoint it to make it holy. For seven days you will make atonement for the altar and make it holy. It will be an altar most holy; whatever touches the altar will be holy. Now this is what you'll offer on the altar: two lambs a year old, day by day, always. You'll offer one lamb in the morning, and the other lamb you'll offer at evening. And with the one lamb a tenth of flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of beaten oil, and a quarter of a hin of wine for a drink offering. You'll offer the other lamb at evening, and do with it according to the grain offering of the morning and according to its drink offering, for a pleasing smell, an offering made by fire to the Lord. This will be a burnt offering that never stops through your generations, at the door of the tent of meeting before the Lord, where I'll meet you to speak to you there.
