Lord, you've been good to your land. You've brought Jacob back from where he'd been taken. You've forgiven your people's wrongdoing; you've covered all their sin. Selah. You've taken away all your fury. You've turned back from the heat of your anger. Bring us back, God of our salvation, and make your anger with us stop. Will you be angry with us forever? Will you stretch your anger out from one generation to the next? Won't you bring us back to life again, so your people can be glad in you? Show us your mercy, Lord, and give us your salvation. I'll listen to what God the LORD says. Because he'll speak peace to his people and to his faithful ones — but don't let them turn again to folly.
