Don't keep quiet
Don't keep quiet, God. Don't hold your peace and don't sit still, God. Because look — your enemies make a racket, and those who hate you have lifted their heads. They've made crafty plans against your people and taken counsel against your hidden ones. They've said: Come on, let's cut them off from being a nation, so the name of Israel isn't remembered any more. Because they've taken counsel together with one heart. They've cut a covenant against you — the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarenes; Gebal, Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines with the people of Tyre; Assyria has joined them too. They've been an arm for the children of Lot. Selah. Do to them as you did to the Midianites, to Sisera and Jabin at the brook of Kison, Who perished at Endor and turned into dung for the ground. Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their leaders like Zebah and Zalmunna — They said, ‘Let us take the dwelling places of God for ourselves.’ My God, make them like a wheel, like stubble in the wind. Like a fire burns the forest and a flame sets the mountains alight, Chase them with your storm and terrify them with your whirlwind. Fill their faces with shame, so they seek your name, Lord. Let them be ashamed and shaken forever. Let them be humiliated and perish — so people may know that you, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, are the Most High over all the earth.

They've been an arm for the children of Lot. Do to them what you did to Midian, and to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon, who were finished at Endor and turned into dung for the ground. Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their leaders like Zebah and Zalmunna — the ones who said: Let's take the homes of God for ourselves. My God, make them like a wheel, like stubble in the wind. Like a fire burns the scrub and a flame sets the mountains alight, chase them with your storm and terrify them with your whirlwind. Fill their faces with shame, so they look for your name, Lord. Let them be ashamed and shaken forever. Let them be humiliated and finished — so men know that you, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah. Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Don't keep quiet, God. Don't hold your peace and don't sit still, God.
Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
Because look — your enemies make a racket, and those who hate you have lifted their heads.
Because look — the ones against you make a racket, and the ones who hate you have lifted their heads.
For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
They've made crafty plans against your people and taken counsel against your hidden ones.
They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
They've said: Come on, let's cut them off from being a nation, so the name of Israel isn't remembered any more.
They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
Because they've taken counsel together with one heart. They've cut a covenant against you —
For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarenes;
the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,
The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
Gebal, Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines with the people of Tyre;
Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the people of Tyre.
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Assyria has joined them too. They've been an arm for the children of Lot. Selah.
Assyria has joined them too. They've been an arm for the children of Lot.
Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
Do to them as you did to the Midianites, to Sisera and Jabin at the brook of Kison,
Do to them what you did to Midian, and to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
Who perished at Endor and turned into dung for the ground.
who were finished at Endor and turned into dung for the ground.
Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their leaders like Zebah and Zalmunna —
Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
They said, ‘Let us take the dwelling places of God for ourselves.’
the ones who said: Let's take the homes of God for ourselves.
Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
My God, make them like a wheel, like stubble in the wind.
O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
Like a fire burns the forest and a flame sets the mountains alight,
Like a fire burns the scrub and a flame sets the mountains alight,
As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
Chase them with your storm and terrify them with your whirlwind.
chase them with your storm and terrify them with your whirlwind.
So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
Fill their faces with shame, so they seek your name, Lord.
Fill their faces with shame, so they look for your name, Lord.
Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
Let them be ashamed and shaken forever. Let them be humiliated and perish —
Let them be ashamed and shaken forever. Let them be humiliated and finished —
Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
so people may know that you, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, are the Most High over all the earth.
so men know that you, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
