My soul waits quietly

My soul waits quietly for God. My salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence. I will not be greatly moved. How long will you plot against a man? All of you will be killed, like a leaning wall or a fence about to go. They only scheme to cast him down from his high place. They delight in lies; they bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah. Wait quietly for God alone, my soul, because my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold. I won't be moved. My salvation and my glory are in God. The rock of my strength and my refuge are in God. Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour your heart out before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah. Low men are only a breath, and high men are a lie. Put them on the scales and together they weigh less than a breath. Don't trust in getting things by force, and don't get empty hopes from robbing. If riches grow, don't set your heart on them. God has spoken once, twice I've heard it: strength belongs to God. And mercy is yours too, Lord. Because you pay back each man according to what he does.

My soul waits quietly for God. My salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my high place. I won't be shifted much. How long will you plot against a man? The lot of you will be killed off, like a leaning wall or a fence about to go. They only talk about pushing him down from where he's high. They love lies. They bless with their mouth, and inside they curse. Wait quietly for God alone, my soul, because my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my high place. I won't be shifted. My salvation and my glory are in God. The rock of my strength and my shelter are in God. Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour your heart out in front of him. God is a shelter for us. And faithful love is yours too, Master. Because you pay back each man according to what he does.

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity. Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them. God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
