When I'm frightened I'll trust
Be gracious to me, God, because a man is trampling me. He fights me and presses me all day long. My enemies would swallow me up all day long, for many are fighting against me, O Most High. When I'm frightened, I'll trust in you. In God I'll praise his word. In God I've trusted. I won't be frightened — what can flesh do to me? They twist my words all day long. All their thoughts are against me for harm. They gather together and hide themselves. They watch my steps while they wait for my soul. Will they get away with wrongdoing? Bring the peoples down in your anger, God. You count up my wanderings. Put my tears in your bottle. Aren't they in your book? Then my enemies will turn back on the day I call. I know this — God is for me. In God I'll praise his word. In the LORD I'll praise his word. In God I've trusted. I won't be frightened — what can a man do to me? Your vows are upon me, God; I will render praises to you. Because you've delivered my soul from death. Won't you keep my feet from falling, so I can walk before God in the light of the living?
Be gracious to me, God, because a man is trampling me. He fights me and presses me all day long. The ones watching me trample me all day long. Because there are plenty fighting me, Most High. When I'm frightened, I'll trust in you. In God I'll praise his word. In God I've trusted. I won't be frightened — what can flesh do to me? They twist my words all day long. I'll pay you back with thanks. Because you've got my soul out from death. Won't you keep my feet from falling, so I can walk in front of God in the light of the living?
Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me. Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God. Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word. In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
