In the morning I'll set it out
Listen to my words, LORD; consider my meditation. Listen to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, because I'm praying to you. You'll hear my voice in the morning, LORD. In the morning I'll direct my prayer to you and look up. Because you're not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness. Evil doesn't stay with you. The boastful won't stand in your eyes. You hate everyone who does wrong. You'll destroy those who tell lies. The LORD loathes the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. But I'll come into your house in the abundance of your mercy. I'll bow down towards your holy temple in fear of you. Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way plain before me. Because there's no faithfulness in their mouth. Their inward parts are destruction. Their throat is an open grave. They flatter with their tongue. Hold them guilty, God. Let them fall by their own plans. Throw them out for all their rebellions, because they've defied you. But let everyone who trusts in you be glad. Let them sing for joy forever, because you defend them. Let those who love your name rejoice in you. You will bless the righteous, LORD; you will surround him with favour like a shield.
Turn your ear to my words, Lord. Take in my sighing. Listen to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, because I'm praying to you. In the morning you'll hear my voice, Lord. In the morning I'll set it out for you and keep watch. Because you're not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness. Evil doesn't stay with you. The big-headed won't stand in front of your eyes. You hate everyone who does wrong. You'll finish off the ones who tell lies. The Lord loathes the man of blood and cheating. But I'll come into your house in the greatness of your faithful love. I'll bow down towards your holy temple in fear of you. Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness because of the ones watching me. Make your way straight in front of me. Because there's nothing straight in their mouth. Inside them is ruin. Their throat is an open grave. They smooth things over with their tongue. Hold them guilty, God. Let them fall by their own plans. Throw them out for all their rebellions, because they've defied you. But let everyone who takes shelter in you be glad. Let them sing out forever, because you cover them. Let the ones who love your name celebrate in you. Because you bless the righteous, Lord. You surround him with favour like a shield.
Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue. Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee. But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
