Do not be silent, God of my praise. The mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me; they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They've surrounded me with words of hate too, and fought me for no reason. For my love they're my enemies, but I give myself to prayer. And they've paid me back evil for good, and hate for my love. Set a wicked man over him, and let Satan stand at his right hand. When he's judged, let him be found guilty, and let his prayer turn into sin. Let his days be few, and let another take his office. Let his children be orphans and his wife a widow. Let his children keep wandering and begging. Let them seek bread out of their ruined places. Let the extortionist seize everything he has, and let strangers plunder the fruit of his labour. Let there be nobody to keep showing him mercy, and nobody to be kind to his orphans. Let his offspring be cut off. In the next generation let their name be wiped out. Let the wrongdoing of his fathers be remembered with the LORD, and don't let his mother's sin be wiped out. Let them be before the LORD all the time, so he can cut off the memory of them from the earth — Because he didn't remember to show mercy, but chased down the poor and needy man, to kill the one broken in heart. As he loved cursing, let it come to him; as he did not delight in blessing, let it be far from him. He dressed himself in cursing like a coat, so it came into him like water and into his bones like oil. Let it be to him like the coat that covers him, like the belt he always wears.
