Coming into Jerusalem
And when they came near Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, and said to them, Go into the village opposite you. And as soon as you go in you will find a colt tied up, that nobody has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it. And if anyone says to you, Why are you doing this? — say, The Lord needs it, and he will send it back here straight away. And they went and found the colt tied at a door outside, where two roads met, and they untied it. And some of those standing there said to them, What are you doing, untying that colt? And they said to them just what Jesus had told them. And they let them go. And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, and he sat on it. And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread branches they had cut from the fields. And those going ahead and those following cried out, Hosanna. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Blessed is the kingdom of our father David, coming in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. And when he had looked round at everything, since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.

And they came to Jerusalem. And Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling there. And he overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling doves, and he wouldn't let anyone carry goods through the temple. And he taught them, saying, Isn't it written, My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of robbers. And the scribes and chief priests heard it and looked for a way to destroy him. Because they were afraid of him, since the whole crowd was astonished at his teaching. And when evening came, he went out of the city. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. And Peter remembered and said to him, Master, look — the fig tree you cursed has withered. And Jesus answered them, Have faith in God. Because I tell you the truth, whoever says to this mountain, Get up and throw yourself into the sea, and doesn't doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen — it will be done for him. So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so your Father in heaven may forgive you your trespasses too. But if you don't forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.
