The widow's two mites
And he looked up and saw the rich men putting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw a certain poor widow putting in two tiny copper coins as well. And he said, I tell you truly, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. Because all of these have put into the offerings of God out of what they had to spare. But she, out of her poverty, has put in everything she had to live on.
And he looked up and saw the rich men throwing their gifts into the treasury. And he saw a certain poor widow throwing in two mites. And he said: Truly I say to you, this poor widow has thrown in more than all of them. Because all these have of their plenty thrown in to the offerings of God. But she of her need has thrown in all the living she had.
And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
And he looked up and saw the rich men putting their gifts into the treasury.

Not one stone
And as some spoke about the temple, how it was decorated with fine stones and gifts, he said, As for these things you are looking at, the days will come when not one stone will be left on another that won't be thrown down. And they asked him, saying, Master, when will these things be? And what sign will there be when they are about to happen? And he said, Take care that you aren't deceived. Because many will come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and, The time is close. So don't go after them. But when you hear of wars and uprisings, don't be terrified. Because these things must happen first, but the end isn't straight away. Then he said to them, Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and plagues. And there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, handing you over to the synagogues and into prisons, and you will be brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it will turn out as a testimony for you. So settle it in your hearts not to work out beforehand what you will answer. Because I will give you a mouth and wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to contradict or resist. And you will be betrayed by parents and brothers and relatives and friends. And some of you they will put to death. And you will be hated by everyone for my name's sake. But not a hair of your head will perish. In your patience you will gain your souls.
And as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with fine stones and gifts, he said: As for these things you look at, the days will come when there won't be one stone left on another that won't be thrown down. And they asked him: Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things will come about? And he said: Watch out that you aren't taken in. Because plenty will come in my name: I'm Christ — and: The time is near. So don't go after them. But when you hear of wars and troubles, don't be terrified. Because these things have to come about first. But the end isn't straight away. Then he said to them: Nation will get up against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And great earthquakes will be in different places, and famines and plagues. And there'll be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. But before all these, they'll lay their hands on you and chase you, handing you over to the meeting houses and into prisons, being brought in front of kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it'll turn out to you as a chance to testify. So settle it in your hearts not to think ahead of time what you'll answer. Because I'll give you a mouth and wisdom that all the ones against you won't be able to speak against or stand up to. And you'll be handed over by parents and brothers and relatives and mates too. And some of you they'll make to be put to death. And you'll be hated by all men for my name's sake. But not a hair of your head will die. By holding on you save your souls.
And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls.

Jerusalem surrounded
And when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is close. Then let those in Judaea run to the mountains. And let those in the middle of the city get out. And don't let those in the country go into it. Because these are the days of vengeance, so that everything that is written may be fulfilled. But how terrible for women who are pregnant, and for those nursing babies, in those days. Because there will be great distress in the land, and anger on this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
And when you see Jerusalem surrounded with armies, then know its laying waste is near. Then let the ones in Judea run to the mountains. And let the ones in the middle of it get out. And don't let the ones in the country go into it. Because these are the days of paying back, so everything written can be carried out. But trouble is coming to the ones who are pregnant and to the ones who are nursing in those days. Because there'll be great trouble in the land and anger on this people. And they'll fall by the edge of the sword and will be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trodden down by the nations, till the times of the nations are filled up.
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
And when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is close.
And when you see Jerusalem surrounded with armies, then know its laying waste is near.
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

The Son of Man comes
And there will be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars. And on the earth, distress of nations at their wits' end, with the sea and the waves roaring. Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking at the things coming on the earth. Because the powers of heaven will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to happen, then look up and lift up your heads. Because your redemption is drawing near. And he told them a parable: Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they put out leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is close now. In the same way, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is close. I tell you the truth, this generation won't pass away until it has all happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. And take care of yourselves, in case your hearts are weighed down with excess and drunkenness and the cares of this life, and that day comes on you unawares. Because it will come like a trap on everyone living on the face of the whole earth. So keep watch and pray always, that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that are going to happen, and to stand before the Son of man. And in the daytime he was teaching in the temple. And at night he went out and stayed on the mountain called the Mount of Olives. And all the people came to him early in the morning in the temple, to hear him.
And there'll be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars. And on the earth trouble of nations, with confusion, the sea and the waves roaring. Men's hearts failing them for fear and for looking at the things coming on the earth. Because the powers of heaven will be shaken. And then they'll see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things start to come about, then look up and lift up your heads. Because your redemption is coming near. And he spoke a story to them: Look at the fig tree and all the trees. When they now put out leaves, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. That's how it is with you too, when you see these things come about — know that the kingdom of God is near. Truly I say to you, this generation won't pass away till everything is done. Heaven and earth will pass away. But my words won't pass away. And watch yourselves, in case at any time your hearts are weighed down with over-eating and drunkenness and cares of this life, and so that day comes on you suddenly. Because it'll come like a trap on everyone who lives on the face of the whole earth. So watch and pray always, so you can be counted worthy to get away from all these things that'll come about, and to stand in front of the Son of Man. And in the daytime he was teaching in the temple. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. I tell you the truth, this generation won't pass away until it has all happened.
