Job 18

Then Bildad the Shuhite answered: "How long are you going to carry on like this? Think first, and then we'll talk. Why are we counted as beasts and treated as stupid in your eyes? You tear yourself apart in your anger. Should the earth be abandoned for your sake? Should the rock be moved out of its place?

Bildad's second answer

Then Bildad the Shuhite answered: "How long are you going to carry on like this? Think first, and then we'll talk. Why are we counted as beasts and treated as stupid in your eyes? You tear yourself apart in your anger. Should the earth be abandoned for your sake? Should the rock be moved out of its place? The light of the wicked will be put out, and the spark of his fire will not shine. The light will grow dark in his tent, and his lamp will be put out beside him. His strong steps will be shortened, and his own counsel will bring him down. He is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walks upon a snare. The gin will take him by the heel, and the robber will prevail against him. The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way. Terrors make him afraid on every side and drive him to his feet. His strength will be hunger-bitten, and destruction will be ready at his side. It will devour the strength of his skin; even the firstborn of death will devour his strength. His confidence will be torn out of his tent, and it will bring him to the king of terrors. Terror will live in his tent because it is no longer his; sulphur will be scattered over his home. His roots will be dried up beneath, and above his branch will be cut off. His remembrance will perish from the earth, and he will have no name in the street. He will be driven from light into darkness and chased out of the world. He will have neither son nor nephew among his people, nor anyone remaining in his dwellings. Those who come after him will be astonished at his day, just as those who went before were frightened. Surely these are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of the man who does not know God."

Then Bildad the Shuhite answered: How long till you make an end of words? Think, and after that we'll speak. Why are we counted as animals and treated as filthy in your sight? He tears himself in his anger. Will the earth be left for you? And will the rock be shifted out of its place? Yes, the light of the wicked will be put out, and the spark of his fire won't shine. The light will be dark in his tent, and his lamp will be put out with him. The steps of his strength will be shortened, and his own counsel will throw him down. Because he's thrown into a net by his own feet, and he walks on a snare. The trap will take him by the heel, and the robber will win against him. The rope is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way. Terrors will frighten him on every side and chase him at his heels. His strength will be hunger-bitten, and ruin will be ready at his side. It'll eat up the parts of his skin. The firstborn of death will eat up his parts. His confidence will be pulled out of his tent, and it'll bring him to the king of terrors. It'll live in his tent, because it's none of his. Sulphur will be scattered on his home. His roots will be dried up underneath, and above his branch will be cut off. His memory will be lost from the earth, and he'll have no name in the street. He'll be driven from light into darkness and chased out of the world. He won't have son or grandson among his people, and nobody left where he lived. The ones who come after him will be shocked at his day, the way the ones before them were frightened. Truly these are the homes of the wicked, and this is the place of the one who doesn't know God.

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak. Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight? He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place? Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine. The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him. The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down. For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare. The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him. The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way. Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet. His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side. It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength. His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors. It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation. His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off. His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street. He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world. He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings. They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted. Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
