Hananiah breaks the yoke
And in the same year, at the start of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year and the fifth month, Hananiah son of Azur the prophet from Gibeon spoke to me in the house of the LORD before the priests and all the people: This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says. I've broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. Within two full years I'll bring back into this place all the vessels of the LORD's house that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took out of this place and carried to Babylon. And I'll bring back to this place Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah and everyone carried off from Judah who went to Babylon, declares the LORD — because I'll break the yoke of the king of Babylon. Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke off Jeremiah the prophet's neck and broke it. And Hananiah spoke before all the people: This is what the LORD says. And I've given him the animals of the field as well. Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah the prophet: Listen now, Hananiah. The LORD hasn't sent you, and you've made this people trust in a lie. So this is what the LORD says: Look: I'm sending you off the face of the earth. This year you'll die, because you've taught rebellion against the LORD. And Hananiah the prophet died that same year, in the seventh month.
