Go again and love her
Then the Lord said to me, Go again and love a woman loved by her friend, yet an adulteress — according to the love of the Lord toward the Israelites, who look to other gods and love flagons of wine. So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer and a half of barley. And I said to her, You will stay with me many days. You will not prostitute yourself, and you will not be with another man. And I will be the same toward you. Because the Israelites will stay many days without a king and without a prince, without sacrifice and without a sacred pillar, without a priestly apron and without household gods. Afterwards the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. And in the last days they will come trembling to the Lord and to his goodness.
Then the Lord said to me: Go again and love a woman loved by another man and breaking her marriage — the way the Lord loves the people of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love their raisin cakes. So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver, and a homer and a half of barley. And I said to her: You'll stay with me plenty of days. You won't go whoring and you won't belong to another man. And I'll be the same towards you. Because the people of Israel will sit plenty of days with no king and no official, and no sacrifice and no pillar, and no ephod and no household gods. After that the people of Israel will come back and look for the Lord their God and David their king. And they'll come shaking to the Lord and to his goodness in the last days.
Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine. So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley: And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee. For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
