They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, afflicted and ill-treated — men the world wasn't worthy of. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in caves and holes in the ground. And all these, though they were commended for their faith, didn't receive what was promised. God had something better in mind for us, so they wouldn't be made complete apart from us.
