Walking in truth
The elder, to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth. And I'm not the only one — everyone who has come to know the truth does. For the truth's sake, which lives in us and will be with us forever. Grace, mercy and peace be with you from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we received a commandment from the Father. And now I ask you, lady — not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning — that we love one another. And this is love: that we follow his commandments. This is the commandment: as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.

Deceivers
For many deceivers have entered into the world, who do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Watch yourselves, so that we do not lose the things we have worked for, but receive a full reward. Whoever transgresses and does not stay in the teaching of Christ has not got God. The one who stays in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, don't receive him into your house or bid him God speed. Because whoever bids him God speed shares in his evil deeds. I've got plenty more to write to you, but I won't do it with paper and ink. I trust I will come to you and speak face to face, so our joy may be full. The children of your chosen sister greet you. Amen.
