He set the Levites in the temple of the Lord with cymbals, with harps and with lyres, according to the order of David and of Gad the king's seer and Nathan the prophet. Because the order was of the Lord by his prophets. The Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets. Hezekiah ordered the burnt offering to be offered on the altar. And when the burnt offering started, the song of the Lord started too, with the trumpets and with the instruments set out by David king of Israel. All the assembly worshipped, and the singers sang and the trumpeters sounded. And all this went on till the burnt offering was finished. When they'd finished offering, the king and everyone there with him bowed themselves and worshipped. So their brothers the Levites helped them till the work was finished and till the other priests had consecrated themselves. Because the Levites were more upright in heart to make themselves holy than the priests. The burnt offerings were plenty too, with the fat of the peace offerings and the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the temple of the Lord was set in order. Hezekiah celebrated, and all the people, that God had got the people ready. Because the thing was done suddenly.
