Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name too was Jerushah daughter of Zadok. He did what was right in the Lord's sight, according to everything his father Uzziah did. But he didn't go into the temple of the Lord. And the people still did rottenly. He built the high gate of the temple of the Lord, and on the wall of Ophel he built plenty. What's more, he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers. He fought the king of the Ammonites too and won against them. And the Ammonites gave him that year a hundred talents of silver and ten thousand measures of wheat and ten thousand of barley.
