All the leaders and all the people celebrated and brought in and threw into the chest, till they'd finished. Now when the chest was brought to the king's office by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw there was abundant money, the king's scribe and the chief priest's officer came and emptied the chest, and took it and carried it back to its place. That's what they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance. The king and Jehoiada gave it to those who did the work of the service of the temple of the Lord, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the temple of the Lord, and workers in iron and bronze too, to mend the temple of the Lord. The workmen worked, and the work was made whole by them. And they set the temple of God in its state and made it strong. When they'd finished it, they brought the rest of the money in front of the king and Jehoiada.
