The collection
Now about the collection for the saints. Do as I directed the churches of Galatia. On the first day of every week, let each of you put something aside and save it up, as God has prospered him, so there won't be collections to make when I come. And when I arrive, I will send whoever you approve, with letters, to take your gift to Jerusalem. And if it seems right for me to go as well, they will go with me.
Now about the gathering for the holy ones, the way I've set out to the churches of Galatia, that's what you do too. On the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God has made him do well, so there aren't gatherings when I come. And when I come, whoever you'll approve by your letters, I'll send them to bring your kindness to Jerusalem. And if it's fitting that I go too, they'll go with me.
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.

Paul's plans
Now I will come to you when I have gone through Macedonia — because I am going through Macedonia. And it may be that I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so you can send me on my way wherever I go. Because I don't want to see you now just in passing. I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. But I will stay at Ephesus until Pentecost, because a great door for effective work has opened to me — and there are many who oppose it. Now if Timotheus comes, see that he can be with you without fear, because he is doing the work of the Lord, just as I am. So let nobody look down on him. Send him on his way in peace, so he can come to me. I am expecting him with the brothers. Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to come to you with the brothers. But he wasn't at all willing to come just now. He will come when he gets the chance.
Now I'll come to you when I go through Macedonia. Because I go through Macedonia. And it may be that I'll stay, yes, and winter with you, so you can bring me on my journey wherever I go. Because I won't see you now on the way. But I trust to stay a while with you, if the Lord lets. But I'll stay at Ephesus till Pentecost. Because a great door and one that works has opened to me, and there are plenty against me. Now if Timothy comes, see he's with you without fear. Because he works the work of the Lord, the way I do too. So don't let any man look down on him. But bring him on his journey in peace, so he can come to me. Because I wait for him with the brothers. Now about our brother Apollos, I badly wanted him to come to you with the brothers. But his will wasn't at all to come at this time. But he'll come when he's got a good chance.
Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia. And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go. For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit. But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do. Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren. As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.

Final words
Keep watch. Stand firm in the faith. Be men. Be strong. Let everything you do be done in love. I urge you, brothers — you know the household of Stephanas, that they are the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to serving the saints — submit yourselves to people like that, and to everyone who works and labours alongside us. I am glad that Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have come, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part. They have refreshed my spirit and yours. So give men like that the recognition they deserve. The churches of Asia send their greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, along with the church that meets in their house. All the brothers greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. This greeting is in my own hand — Paul. If any man doesn't love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be cursed. Maranatha — our Lord, come. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Watch, stand fast in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let everything you do be done with love. I beg you, brothers (you know the household of Stephanas, that it's the firstfruits of Achaia and that they've given themselves to the service of the holy ones), that you put yourselves under ones like that and under every one who helps with us and works. I'm glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus. Because what was lacking on your part they've made up. Because they've refreshed my spirit and yours. So take notice of ones like that. The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you a lot in the Lord, with the church in their house. All the brothers greet you. Greet each other with a holy kiss. The greeting of me Paul with my own hand. If any man doesn't love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be cursed. The Lord comes. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Let all your things be done with charity. I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,) That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth. I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied. For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such. The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss. The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
