The sons of Simeon: Nemuel and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah and Shaul — Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son. The sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zakkur his son, Shimei his son. Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters. But his brothers didn't have plenty of children, and their whole family didn't grow like the sons of Judah. They lived at Beersheba and Moladah and Hazar Shual, And at Bilhah and at Ezem and at Tolad, And at Bethuel and at Hormah and at Ziklag, And at Beth Markaboth and Hazar Susim and at Beth Biri and at Shaaraim. These were their cities as far as the rule of David. Their villages were Etam and Ain, Rimmon and Token and Ashan, five cities, And all their villages that were round these cities, as far as Baal. These were where they lived, and their family line. Meshobab and Jamlek and Joshah son of Amaziah, And Joel and Jehu son of Joshibiah son of Seraiah son of Asiel, And Elioenai and Jaakobah and Jeshohaiah and Asaiah and Adiel and Jesimiel and Benaiah, And Ziza son of Shiphi son of Allon son of Jedaiah son of Shimri son of Shemaiah — These named by their names were leaders in their families. And the house of their fathers grew a lot. They went to the entrance of Gedor, as far as the east side of the valley, to look for pasture for their flocks. They found rich and good pasture, and the land was wide and quiet and peaceful. Because those who lived there before were of Ham. These men, recorded by name, came during the days of Hezekiah king of Judah. They struck the tents and the Meunites they found there and destroyed them completely, as remains the case to this day. Then they settled there because the land had pasture for their flocks. Some of them, five hundred men of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, with Pelatiah and Neariah and Rephaiah and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi, at their head. They struck the rest of the Amalekites who'd got away, and lived there to this day.

The sons of Simeon: Nemuel and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah and Shaul — Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son. And the sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zakkur his son, Shimei his son. And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters. But his brothers didn't have plenty of children, and their whole family didn't grow like the sons of Judah. These were their towns right to the rule of David. And their villages were Etam and Ain, Rimmon and Token and Ashan, five towns, and all their villages that were round these towns, right to Baal. These were where they lived, and their family line. And the house of their fathers grew a lot. And they went to the entrance of Gedor, right to the east side of the valley, to look for pasture for their flocks. And they found rich and good pasture, and the land was wide and quiet and peaceful. Because the ones who lived there before were of Ham. And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah and struck their tents, and the Meunites who were found there, and completely wrecked them right to this day. And they lived in their place, because there was pasture there for their flocks. And some of them, five hundred men of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, with Pelatiah and Neariah and Rephaiah and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi, at their head. And they struck the rest of the Amalekites who'd got away, and lived there right to this day.

And they went to the entrance of Gedor, even unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks. And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they of Ham had dwelt there of old. And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their rooms: because there was pasture there for their flocks. And some of them, even of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.
