I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. I will establish his kingdom forever if he continues firmly in keeping my commands and judgments, as he does today. So now, before all Israel, the Lord's assembly, and in the hearing of our God: keep and seek all the commands of the Lord your God, so you may possess this good land and leave it as an inheritance to your children forever.

He gave gold by weight for the things of gold, for all the vessels of every kind of service. Silver too for all the vessels of silver by weight, for all the vessels of every kind of service. The weight for the lampstands of gold and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every lampstand and for its lamps. And for the lampstands of silver by weight, both for the lampstand and for its lamps, according to the use of every lampstand. By weight he gave gold for the tables of the bread of the Presence, for every table. And silver for the tables of silver. Pure gold too for the forks and the basins and the bowls. And for the golden dishes by weight for every dish. And for the silver dishes by weight for every dish. For the altar of incense, refined gold by weight. And gold for the plan of the chariot of the cherubim, that spread out their wings and covered the ark of the covenant of the Lord. All this, said David, the Lord made me understand in writing through him on me, all the works of this plan. David told Solomon his son: Be strong and courageous, and get on with it. Don't be afraid or discouraged, because the Lord God — my God — is with you. He won't fail you or leave you until all the work for the Lord's house is finished. The divisions of priests and Levites are ready for every kind of service in God's house. Skilled volunteers are with you for every kind of work, and the leaders and all the people are ready to follow your directions.

He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service: Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick.
